Tandem Fryslan - Adeste Kom Erbij Welcome - Hink Speulman & Irene Koutsaki - by Guido Bosua

Adéste | Kom Erbij | Welcome

The goal of this Tandem project was to share ideas, knowledge and competences followed by implementation of the concept of the Kom Erbij Festival from Buitenpost in the social situation of Heraklion. The festival is part of a much broader set of activities and interventions that is focused on achieving of improving social cohesion, social inclusion and social participation, especially for individuales and groups for which this is not or less obvious. These are often vulnerable persons, who have to deal with loneliness (social, emotional and existentially) and exclusion or deprivation. In parallel, the Tandem project aimed to expand the existing festival concept in Buitenpost with art and culture (music, dance and theatre) as modes to help stimulate the process of awareness, understanding and effective action.

Stichting Sociaal Cultureel Werk Buitenpost / 'it Koartling' is based in the northeast of Fryslân (Netherlands). We are one of the few socio-cultural organisations left. We have a broad experience in community development. Over the last years we have been working on how to tackle the issue of loneliness among the most vulnerable sectors of community.
