Zhytomyr MusicalSpring – 2012

This project focused on the development of artistic collaboration between the Tandem countries: Latvia and Ukraine. As a result there was a Tandem day within the international contemporary music festival «Zhytomyr Musical Spring» held in Zhytomyr, Ukraine 23-28/04/2012. During this Tandem day we organized workshops which took place with contemporary dance techniques in Zhytomyr Culture College by choreographer Santa Grinfelde (Ansis Rutentals Movement theater,Latvia). A lecture of Latvian Contemporary music was held in Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University by Gundega Smite (composer,the head of Latvian composers union, Lat­ via). In addition a Tandem concert was performed with the participation of Ukrainian and Latvian artists from 3 different contemporary art disciplines (music, dance and visual art).
