Laab Shesh (The Playground) – Creating Organic Spaces as a koine between countries Laab Shesh is a collaboration project between Albania and Egypt where we learn about each other culture and share knowledge in the field of architectural heritage through holding hands-on workshops in the 2 countries with the interested participants in order to create two fun and useful installations in semi-public spaces using traditional and recycled materials. The project is based on Boldan interest on environmental protection and waste management as well as URI interest on earthen materials. The mixture of both experiences will serve as an example on how both organizations' concepts and methodologies can provide architectural solutions. project website Tandem Shaml 2016-17 Built Heritage Community development cultural exchange Education (formal & non-formal) Environment Public space Sustainability Urban development Architecture Crafts Heritage Photography Public Space Video Videos and Photographs Co-creation Education Knowledge exchange Public intervention Ina Janushi Urban Research Institute Tirana, Albania Shaimaa Atef Boldan Cairo, Egypt The connection "Laab Shesh (The Playground) - Creating Organic Spaces as a koine between countries": a connection between Tirana (Albania) & Cairo (Egypt) The process Shared stories
