Ich Bin/I am/Benim

The art education project deals with children (8-12 years) in Diyarbakir and Berlin. Central subject of young people are their look, self-depiction and group formation. Media plays an important role in their self-perception. I n photo and video workshops in each city the children experience how images function. An internet platform serves as a project diary connecting the children. Based on the material the children shot, two documentaries are edited. There will be a public screening in both neighborhoods in September 2012. Both groups may exchange their film material after the project and develop a documentary about the entire project.
