Stéphane Robert, who has been working on the project Food for Open Borders with Hala Khankan as a participant in Tandem Turkey offers a short reflection on what Tandem means to him. He writes that working on:

Tandem is to set foot in another world, to open up our own world to the other, to think of projects together to improve the world, to come up against ultra-local problems, to get angry, to be reconciled, to meet unexpected people, to think again about redoing the world with them, to get angry again, but a little less than before, to be reconciled, to move forward and gradually build this new world.

Stéphane Robert

Thank you Stéphane for these words. The Tandem journey is never a straight-forward one, but it is an adventure (like hopping on an air balloon – so thanks for this photo too).
